1. Who we are

TalentMatch24 is operated by BG Personal GmbH, Gierather Straße 22a, 51069 Cologne, Germany. We are the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, email us at support@talentmatch24.de.

2. What data we collect

• Your CV and profile: name, contact details, work history, skills, qualifications and anything else you include in your CV.
• Preferences: desired role, location, availability, salary expectations and similar.
• Account data: email address and login details (via Google, Apple or a one-time email code).
• Usage data: how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To match you with employers — on the basis of your consent, which you give when you upload your CV and ask to be put forward.
• To run your account and provide the service — on the basis of taking steps at your request and our legitimate interests in operating the platform.
• To keep the service secure and improve it — on the basis of our legitimate interests.
• To meet legal obligations where the law requires it.

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 6).

4. Who we share it with

We only share your details with a prospective employer once you have agreed to be introduced to them. We also use trusted service providers (for example hosting, and AI processing to read your CV) who act on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

We are based in Germany, so your data is processed within the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of your data;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted (“right to be forgotten”) — you can delete your profile at any time;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• data portability;
• withdraw consent at any time.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your profile, or after a period of inactivity, we delete or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to keep it by law.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent, cookies to understand usage and improve the service. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie banner.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to a data protection authority. As we are based in Germany, our lead authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW). If you are in the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.
